Cybersecurity & Consumer Devices
This session explores the cybersecurity risks associated with consumer Android-based streaming devices and promotes cybersecurity awareness through community engagement. As Internet of Things (IoT) technologies continue to proliferate, relatively little research has examined the security implications of consumer streaming devices and their potential roles in malware distribution, botnets, and residential proxy networks. This session includes technical cybersecurity research, behavioral studies and other insights that are relevant to researchers, educators, cybersecurity professionals, and policymakers.

National Academies of Science Engineering & Medicine (NASEM) Lunch & Listening Session on Rural Wellbeing
NASEM is seeking a better understanding of the unique challenges encountered by people living and working in Rural America, while also recognizing the distinct assets of rural communities for addressing those challenges. This lunchtime listening session will welcome rural leaders, policymakers, and funders, with the expectation of building into a larger initiative to elevate rural concerns within national policy discussions and enable collaborations.

After-Dark at the Hancock Biological Station
Experience a pontoon boat ride on Kentucky Lake, nighttime animal tracking, an Owl Prowl night hike, stargazing, and learn about research underway at Murray State's Hancock Biological Station. HBS is opening their doors for an exclusive after-dark experience for KAS scientists (weather permitting). Space is limited.
KAS has a block of rooms at Kenlake State Park, right around the corner from Hancock, so you don't have to drive back to Murray on Friday night after the event. We will encourage you to carpool, though, because parking is limited at the station.
