  1. Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology, Centre College
    Centre College invites applications for a full-time, one-year visiting position to begin in August 2022. We are looking for a vertebrate anatomist or physiologist who will teach a two-course sequence in human anatomy and physiology with their associated labs, along with introductory biology with lab and senior seminar. Assistant Professor of Animal Physiology, Western Kentucky University.  Candidates for the Animal Physiology position will investigate areas that may include but are not limited to neurophysiology, thermoregulation, osmoregulation, pathology, endocrinology, and/or muscle physiology.   8. Wood Hudson Cancer Research Lab is looking for a Cancer Research Scientist. Wood Hudson Cancer research Laboratory is seeking a scientist to conduct research as well as write manuscripts and grant applications pertaining to cancer research. The successful candidate should already have publications in the field of cancer research and will supervise undergraduates doing research in our laboratory as part of the undergraduate research education program. Research experience in studies of one of more of the following specific human tumor types: breast, colon, ovary, prostate or lung. This not-for-profit Independent Research Institute maintains a biospecimen repository that preserves FFPE tumors and tissues from 65,000 cancer patients. The Department of Biology at Bellarmine University (Louisville, Kentucky) seeks a part-time instructor to teach two lecture sections of Molecular Biology (BIOL317) during the Spring Semester 2022. The course description for BIOL317 is as follows: "Emphasis will be on the functional connections between nucleic acids and proteins, and the special role that DNA plays in both heritability and in regulating cellular processes. Molecular methodologies like gene cloning, genomics, and bioinformatics will be highlighted."  The class consists primarily of junior undergraduate Biology and Biochemistry/Molecular Biology students.   15. The Natural Science Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has openings for Geology Adjunct Instructors to teach all levels of Geology. The primary responsibilities of these positions are to teach courses, maintain some office hours for mentoring and coaching students, success and retention activities, and utilization of a learning management system such as Blackboard for communication and feedback.   16. The School of Natural Science is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time, adjunct faculty position to teach Organic Chemistry I and II lecture and lab at the undergraduate level. Courses are taught in 6-week sessions requiring a hands-on approach and high level of interaction between instructor and students. CHEM 301 Organic Chemistry I and CHEM 311 Organic Chemistry I Lab courses will be held Session 4, January 31-March 10, 2022. CHEM 302 Organic Chemistry II and CHEM 312 Organic Chemistry II Lab will be held Session 5, March 21-April 28, 2022. Currently the delivery method is face-to-face but is subject to change. Candidates should hold a graduate degree in Chemistry or a closely related field and provide evidence of teaching experience.   17. Master‘s student position opening in Cell Biology Laboratory. Full-time research assistantship is available in the laboratory of Dr. Alexey Arkov, Department of Biological Sciences, Murray State University.
