The Journal of the Kentucky Academy of Science

The Journal is now published digitally, using an Issue-in-Progress model.
Once manuscripts have passed through the entire review process and are ready for publication, they will be posted serially online at both the JKAS and BioOne web sites. We will announce each posting to KAS members. There are no page charges for publication in the JKAS.

As of February 2021, submissions will be double-blind peer reviewed.

KAS Members can access all past Journal issues by logging in and going to “Resources”, then “File Archive”

Anyone can search the Journal using BioOne

KAS members also have free electronic access to the most recent and past issues of the Journal of the KAS.

The JKAS accepts submissions throughout the year. We accept submissions for Research Articles, Review articles, Opinion articles, and Book Reviews.

We use an electronic submission portal. Find the link and formatting guidelines in the section labeled "Publishing in the Journal", on the JKAS website.
