KY INBRE RFA for Equipment Funding
KY INBRE is now accepting proposals for equipment funding. Proposals should be submitted by your OSPA to the KY INBRE Administrative Core, Dr. Whitney Rogers (email). Deadline for proposals is Fri, Feb 20, 2026. Depending on the number of proposals received, priority will be given to those with the greatest impact, proportional to cost, on research activities, projects enabled, and major users. Funding decisions will be made by Weds, Feb 25 and all funds must be expended by April 30, 2026 (extensions/carryovers are not allowed).
Proposals should include:
  • Face page, Signed (NIH Form 398, fp1)
     
  • Budget (PHS 398 Forms)
     
  • Vendor Quotes (no more than 30 days old)
    • Description of item
    • Summary of Need
    • Significance
    • Impact
    • Research Projects Enabled
    • Major Users
       
  • Letter of Institutional Commitment for the continued support of service/maintenance contracts, if applicable.
     
  • Requests for large equipment should be very detailed and include a management plan that covers housing, operation, maintenance, anticipated annual recurring costs, time allocation, cost recovery, anticipated usage, and downtime.
