Candidates asked to share thoughts on science issues

Rob Weber, KAS Communications and Policy Director

Questionnaires were sent to every candidate who filed for Kentucky’s seats in the U.S. House and U.S. Senate, as well as every candidate for the Kentucky House and Kentucky Senate.

All six of Kentucky’s U.S. House seats are up for election this year, as well as one of the state’s two U.S. Senate seats. At the state level, all 100 Kentucky House seats are up for election and 19 of the 38 seats in the Kentucky Senate are up for election.

Candidate responses will be collected through Sept. 30 and posted online by October 4 to give KAS members and the public an opportunity to see where candidates stand on science issues before Kentucky’s General Election on Nov. 8.
